Jason Troiden brings more than 25 years of experience in creative strategy, marketing, and brand storytelling to Golden Shovel Agency. As a Project Manager, he combines deep creative expertise with strategic execution to help economic development organizations deliver impactful marketing initiatives, websites, and campaigns that strengthen communities and drive engagement.
Throughout his career, Jason has served in leadership roles including Copywriter, Senior Copywriter, Creative Lead, and Associate Creative Director, managing complex multi-channel campaigns across television, video, web, print, and digital platforms. His work focuses on bridging the gap between big-picture storytelling and seamless execution, ensuring projects remain strategically aligned, creatively compelling, and delivered on time and on budget.
Jason’s background includes serving as Creative Lead for the Emmy-nominated series Small Business Revolution—Main Street, where he helped create branding, websites, marketing campaigns, and revitalization strategies for businesses in communities across the country. Backed by significant annual investments into participating towns, the initiative demonstrated how strategic storytelling and coordinated marketing efforts can support local economic growth, increase visibility, and strengthen community engagement.
His creative work has earned multiple industry recognitions, including Gold and Silver Pins from AdFed’s The Show for work on Small Business Revolution—Main Street and a national Pride Month campaign, as well as multiple Telly Awards for creative contributions to Best Buy’s national television campaigns. These honors recognized excellence in copywriting, creative direction, and marketing strategy.
Jason also brings expertise in content strategy, SEO, digital marketing workflows, and cross-functional project leadership. His experience collaborating with executive teams and stakeholders allows him to guide projects from concept through implementation while maintaining a strong focus on audience engagement and measurable impact.
Outside of work, Jason enjoys running, soccer, hiking, and spending time outdoors—especially anywhere near a beach. He also volunteers with Ruff Start Rescue, using his creative storytelling and photography skills to help rescue animals find permanent homes.
