Caroline Sposto joined Golden Shovel Agency in 2019 and serves as a Business Development Representative. She specializes in connecting communities across the U.S. with Golden Shovel’s expertise, helping them leverage strategic marketing, storytelling, and digital solutions for economic growth. Her role blends communication, creativity, and outreach, ensuring that potential clients understand how Golden Shovel can support their development goals.
Caroline’s background in copywriting has provided her with a strong understanding of economic development, including site selection, workforce development, and the key amenities that make communities competitive and attractive. Her most rewarding work has been helping communities tell their stories in ways that resonate with site selectors, businesses, and individuals considering relocation.
She has contributed to a variety of projects, including profiling key industries in Columbus, Georgia, writing articles for the Caribbean Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (CAIPA), and drafting successful awards applications for clients. She has also implemented SEO and social media strategies to drive engagement and content visibility.
Caroline holds a B.A. in English and an M.S. in Electronic Media. Outside of her professional work, she is an author of two books and is working on a new book, Savvy Civility, set to release in Fall 2025. Caroline is also passionate about community involvement, having chaired fundraising auctions for the Kindred Place and held various high-level volunteer positions with organizations such as the Greater Valley Girl Scout Council and Memphis in May Festival.
