2023 WVEDC Annual Fall Meeting

The West Virginia Economic Development Council (WVEDC) Annual Fall Conference will be held in Huntington, West Virginia on September 18-20, 2023.  In today’s economy there are generally limited opportunities to attract industry from outside the area.  Communities with robust local assets and strong leadership often provide the framework that allows communities to reinvent themselves from within.  Huntington, West Virginia, having a large university present has for many years been developing future leaders for our region and state.  Marshall has been a talent magnet attracting professionals and developing talent as part of their mission and is now responding to a changing economy by seeding innovation with an eye toward the future.  Huntington also has maintained a diverse manufacturing base and built a resilient community.  The City of Huntington has been recognized as “Americas Best Community” and City leaders have been encouraging redevelopment by making targeted investments in the community.  The 2023 WVEDC Annual Fall Conference will explore how these ongoing partnerships impacts community growth as we work together to reinvent ourselves from within.
