Amanda Dodge, Copywriter, has been with Golden Shovel Agency since November 2023. Amanda has a decade of experience in marketing, copywriting, and SEO. She has been self-employed for over eight years and has worked for in-house teams and agencies. Most of her education comes from Florida State University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Communication.

Amanda’s day-to-day responsibilities include working with a variety of economic development organizations to boost their content, make their websites more visible, and share news about their communities. Amanda has the privilege of shouting from the rooftops (in web copy form) all the great things the EDOs are doing to support their communities.

Amanda is thrilled to see how contagious enthusiasm is for various towns and cities across the United States. Economic development can be an exhausting and thankless process, but the passion of each person who works in the field shines through. Small steps can add up to a big impact over time.

Amanda is currently located in St. Petersburg, FL – just a quick bike ride from the beach. When she’s not reading or snuggling with her cat, you can find Amanda traveling extensively throughout the year. Recently, she went camping in the Serengeti (waking up to hippos walking through the camp) and visited Dracula’s castle in Transylvania.
