With over 20 years of experience in multimedia production, Benjamin Watkins is a seasoned storyteller and Emmy Award-winning multimedia producer. He joined Golden Shovel Agency in 2018, where he initially began editing Virtual Reality 360 videos. He has since expanded his role to include integrating AI technology into projects, further elevating the storytelling experience.

Benjamin has contributed to numerous economic development projects at Golden Shovel, helping to craft compelling narratives through innovative media formats that connect with audiences in powerful ways. His expertise spans across VR, social media, web banners, and content creation, all of which have significantly enhanced the agency’s marketing efforts.

Outside of his professional work, Benjamin has a Master of Fine Arts in Motion Picture & Television, specializing in Producing and Directing, which has equipped him with the skills to manage complex productions and lead creative teams. His background in theater and dance has also fueled his deep understanding of emotional storytelling and audience connection.

In addition to his work in multimedia production, Benjamin has served as an adjunct professor at The King’s University and Rasmussen College. At The King’s University, he taught courses in Storytelling, Video Editing, Videography, and Motion Picture & Television production, integrating real-world industry applications into his curriculum. At Rasmussen College, he instructed courses on Mobile App Development, Storytelling, Adobe Creative Suite, Digital Video, Website Design, and Marketing, mentoring students in both residential and online learning environments. His commitment to education has helped prepare students for careers in media production through hands-on instruction and industry-aligned coursework.

Benjamin’s dedication to community development is evident in his volunteer work with organizations such as the Travis Manion Foundation, The Mission Continues, and Team Rubicon. He is also a proud U.S. Army veteran, having served as a Psychological Operations Specialist, where he honed his skills in strategic communication, influence, and cross-cultural messaging.
