Attracting New Industry Through Advanced Marketing Strategies
13 Jun 2018
Northeast Kentucky Development has officially launched this week, a organization that aims to attract new businesses into the 12 county region, which will serve as a valuable player for the region’s economic development. The development organization will highlight available sites, buildings, and resources available for new and expanding industry into the area, primarily in Aerospace and Automotive.
Sam Howard, Managing Principal of Northeast Kentucky Development says he started the organization to provide the region with a voice. “Counties within the region are typical of rural Kentucky. We have an abundant availability of land at a reasonable cost. We have a workforce that is ready and willing to work. We have a world class university and the best Community and Technology System in the United States.”
“It is time the world found out about Northeast Kentucky. We intend to make that happen” - Sam Howard.
Northeast Kentucky is a diverse region, both geographically and in terms of the amenities each community has to offer. Many industries and companies already call Northeast Kentucky home, and the recent groundbreaking of Braidy Industries goes to show why a development organization such as this is coming online at the right time.
Northeast Kentucky selected Golden Shovel Agency to create the overall marketing strategy and marketing implementation of the organization, including the website that has also been recently launched. The online portal is a comprehensive representation of the ample resources and infrastructure available to businesses choosing to locate in Northeast Kentucky.
“With this website we are showing the world why locating in Northeast Kentucky is a smart business move,” said Sam Howard, Northeast Kentucky’s managing principal. “Look at the website and judge for yourself, ‘Why not Northeast Kentucky?’”
The website is sophisticated, yet user friendly. Site selectors and business owners can find a wealth of current information on the 12-county region via the new online portal. It features available sites and buildings as well as details about financial incentives. Users can search for industry clusters and find pertinent information about the region’s skilled workforce.
“Northeast Kentucky has been a vibrant project and it’s exciting to see it’s official launch, the marketing strategy will begin to attract new industry into the region and we’re happy to be a part of that,” remarked Kirstie McPherson, Marketing Director of Golden Shovel.
