IEDC's Equitable Economic Development Playbook: Disaster Preparedness, Recovery, and Climate Resilience
Over the last decade, weather and environmental disasters in the US have caused over $100 billion in damages. In building back communities and economies after natural disasters, different actors–community organizations, developers, relief organizations–must take on multiple roles to address regions’ immediate, long-term, and preventive needs.
This webinar will instruct on the community-based approaches that can ensure equitable and successful access to re-building resources; it will also discuss the necessity of understanding how pre-existing systemic inequities can impact the recovery and resilience process.
