Ramsey County is a vibrant and growing community with opportunity for everyone and they want site selectors and business owners to take notice. This bustling community with diverse amenities of Sant Paul and the Twin Cities metro is an attractive destination for companies and new families.
A showcase website, RameseyCountyMeansBusiness.com, was designed and launched to assist businesses and corporate site selectors find the available amenities. The online portal lists incentives and clean-up programs at the local, state and federal levels.
At the heart of the website is a powerful incentive map that shows the nearly 60 properties available for development and redevelopment across the county. The map is interactive and user-friendly so that business owners and site selectors can research and explore the Ramsey County resources without wading through paperwork.
The new website highlights two fo the region's largest redevelopment opportunities: the 71-acre former Boys Totem Town correction campus on the East Side, and the downtown strip called Riverside along the Mississippi River.
According to Kari Collins, Ramsey County's community and economic development director, "...the site also highlights Ramsey County’s trade schools, training programs, community colleges, universities and its existing workforce of nearly 248,000 workers — 94,000 with bachelor’s degrees and 66,000 with graduate degrees. Given low unemployment and a tight labor market, companies want to ensure that they can fill jobs with qualified workers."
