May 2014 Update

May has proven to be an exciting month for Golden Shovel and myself. Personally, I became a proud father of a new baby boy who is already three weeks old. While I was learning about diapers and sleep deprivation the team was in full action. Here are some of the highlights.

We attended the Mid-America Economic Development Council’s 2014 Best Practices conference in Minneapolis. Despite co-chairing the conference committee, I was absent for reasons noted above but John and Lindsey reported back that the speakers were top notch and the networking excellent. Check out more about the MidAmerica EDC!

John presented at the Montana Economic Development Association conference at the beginning of the month. He received positive feedback and continued developing relationships with the great economic developers of Montana.

Latest sites successfully launched include: Athens County EDC and City of Orem, Economic Development...Check them out!

Mark your calendars for our upcoming webinar: “Developing Asking Rights for Economic Development”, presented by Rick Kiernan and Tom Raiser, from Convergent Nonprofit Solutions. This cutting-edge webinar examines the fundraising process from the other side of the desk and illustrates the techniques that work in today’s economic environment. Click here for more details.

For our Economic Gateway clients, we have developed some great options for controlling the graphical banners on the home page of your websites. It is always important to make a great first impression. If you are interested, inquire about them at your next GateKeeper meeting.

We look forward to more action in June and hope to see many of you over the summer, especially at the NREDA conference in July and the SEDC Conference in August. Till then!

Cheers,

Aaron
