A former member of the NGage economic development group’s executive board will begin serving as the group’s director next month.
The board announced Friday in a press release that Glennis McClure will begin her new position April 21.
McClure, a native of Gage County, served on the board since its inception in November, 2011, acting as the initial secretary and then as treasurer. She resigned as a board member in December to pursue the group’s lead role.
McClure said she’s excited for the opportunity and looks forward to aiding the area’s economic development efforts.
“I learned a lot from being on the board and there was a broad base of experiences that lead me to this,” she said. “It’s nice to be able to do this work and focus on Gage County. I love to be able to make a difference.”
According to a press release from NGage, McClure grew up on a rural Wymore farm and now operates a farm business with her husband Ed McClure west of Blue Springs.
