Ottawa County merging two economic development offices
Friday, January 31, 2014
After more than 10 years of working with two separate economic development organizations to help develop and retain businesses in Ottawa County, the boards for both organizations have agreed to merge.
"I think it is important for there to be one 'voice' in the county for current and prospective businesses to hear from as those businesses work to relocate or stay and expand in Ottawa County," said Steve Patrick, former Ottawa County Economic Development Office Board chairman and Coopersville city manager.
The new organization combines the Ottawa County Economic Development Office located in Allendale and Lakeshore Advantage located in Zeeland. The new non-profit organization will become Lakeshore Advantage and keep its offices in Zeeland.
