Golden Shovel Agency VP to speak on regional collaboration for economic development at Idaho conference
Friday, October 18, 2013
Vice President of Sales for Golden Shovel Agency (GSA) John Marshall will be speaking at the annual Fall Conference of the Idaho Economic Development Association (IEDA) next week. His talk, “Doing it Together: Successful Regional Collaboration Online,” will “shed some light on where to begin for communities looking to initiate a regional collaboration” and will be based on GSA’s many success stories.
It’s a topic Marshall knows well: as a vice president of GSA, he’s seen first-hand it’s unique regional sharing system and the great benefits it brings. The innovative system allows economic development websites in an area to quickly share information, such as real estate listings, incentive programs, and news, helping the economic development organizations to have a more unified voice and more effectively cultivate the local business environment.
"I'm looking forward to sharing some new regional economic development strategies at the IEDA conference,” says Marshall. “Regionalism and collaboration are a great way to level the playing field in this global marketplace."
The powerful system recently made its debut in Idaho with the launch of Lost Rivers Economic Development’s new website. GSA is now in talks with other Idahoan economic development organizations to join the network and reap the great benefits of better organization and communication among Idaho’s economic development organizations.
The IEDA conference is scheduled to run October 22nd through October 24th and will be held at the Hampton Inn in Nampa, Idaho. Other topics on this year’s conference agenda include “how to market your organization,” “urban renewal case studies,” and “main street and downtown projects.” More information, including how to register, can be found on their website.
