Guadalupe Valley Electric Cooperative is one of the largest and most progressive distribution cooperatives in Texas. GVEC partnered with Golden Shovel to develop an online presence that creates awareness and attracts business to Southeast Texas.
As an Electric Cooperative, GVEC’s service area covers 13 counties that span over 3,500 square miles. From day one, their purpose has been to support their local communities. Beyond providing energy services to both housing and businesses, GVEC gathers site and real estate data, financial resource identification, and community data.
Our work with GVEC revolved around designing a website that provided exposure and additional business opportunities. They wanted a website that was concise and clear, with large graphics that highlighted the advantages of the region. Along with the images, we implemented a color scheme that brought attention to the region’s greatest strengths - community and opportunity.
- Applied high-quality images, videos, news, and social media with color-coded graphics and tools to showcase the GVEC communities, counties and local business opportunities.
- Promoted local real estate and site selection opportunities through combining GVEC’s existing tools with their new website.
Although it looked a bit overwhelming at the beginning, the entire process has been seamless working with Golden Shovel and their online solutions and its team is the most responsive we have ever worked with!
