Marshall to discuss workforce strategies with economic developers at the 2016 NREDA Annual Conference
LITTLE FALLS, MN (Golden Shovel Agency) –- The annual NREDA conference will be held November 2-4, 2016 at the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. The conference will focus on “Charting a New Course for Rural Vitality.”
The conference will open with the “Fundamentals of Economic Development”. The two-hour presentation will discuss the two largest barriers to economic success.
The two-day conference will give economic developers a perfect opportunity to network and discuss current economic development trends, including workforce attraction strategies with Golden Shovel Vice-President John Marshall.
“With the right combination of first impressions, quality content, and social media practices, communities can gain a workforce attraction advantage,” said Marshall.
NREDA’s 2016 Annual Conference offers a full suite of networking opportunities and sessions for economic development professionals. For a full session agenda please visit http://www.nreda.org/Core/ContentManager/uploads/PDFs/2016_AnnualConference/NREDA_2016_Annual_Conference_Brochure.pdf
The National Rural Economic Developers Association (NREDA) was formed to promote rural development opportunities through electric and telephone cooperatives. At the time of the Rural Electrification Administration (REA), cooperatives had been a long time advocate of marketing rural locations as a competitive and low cost alternative for business investment. The creation of a national organization, structured to coordinate recruitment resources would provide all members a greater presence to corporate America.
