Morrison County Engages Businesses with Social Media
Saturday, December 22, 2012
LITTLE FALLS, MN – Carol Anderson understands that launching a business today is much different than 5 or 10 years ago. While some of the financing and business practices are largely unchanged, the world of advertising and social media has exploded.
Anderson, the director of Community Development of Morrison County, has led the charge in Morrison County for businesses to participate in social media. For the last eighteen months, she has made sure the highlights of the area are posted daily on Facebook, Twitter, and through regular press releases.
As a result of her efforts, many companies are now engaging their customers and the community through Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. With Anderson’s direction, a community training was held to help companies get started on Facebook and Twitter. Today, some of these early adopters meet regularly to discuss social media trends and best practices.
While Morrison County may appear to be a quiet central Minnesota location, it has big ideas and is moving along in the world of technology.
