Iowa Lakes Corridor Development hires new CEO

The Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corp. has hired a new chief executive, the Spencer-based development group said today.

Kiley Miller, an economic development professional from Mount Pleasant, will take over as president and CEO of the group.

Based in northwest Iowa, the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corp. represents the counties of Emmet, Dickinson, Clay and Buena Vista.

Miller is currently the executive vice president of the Mount Pleasant Area Chamber Alliance, a development group based in southeast Iowa. He will replace Kathy Evert, the current president and CEO of the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corp.

Before joining the economic development world, Miller was a reporter and editor for newspapers in Cascade and Burlington.

Miller previously served in the U.S. Army. He has a bachelor's degree from Sewanee: The University of the South, a college in Tennessee, and a master's of business administration from the University of Phoenix.
