Minnesota’s economic development agency has awarded a grant to Anoka-Ramsey Community College to provide an Elk River-based company’s employees with job skills training.
Alliance Machine, Inc., an Elk River-based precision machine shop, will benefit from a roughly $49,000 job training grant.
The company—which serves the defense, aerospace, and medical industries—will send its 35 employees to Anoka-Ramsey Community College (the grant recipient) to participate in business- and management-related courses.
The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED)—which awarded the $49,475 grant through its Minnesota Job Skills Partnership (MJSP) program—said that the partnership is meant to increase market competitiveness through skills training.
