A Greensboro City Council task force focused on economic development says it will focus on regional connectivity as an important factor in development efforts in the Gate City and across the Triad.
The task force, chaired by Greensboro City Councilman Zack Matheny, agreed Thursday to send the overview to the Greensboro City Council to vote on as a regional strategy for economic development.
The task force agreed to better connect with the High Point City Council. High Point University President Nido Qubein has offered to host a dinner for the two councils on the university campus.
“The thing is to motivate our council to be engaged with High Point — that’s never been done,” Matheny said.
