Economic Gateway - Greater America Online

The Economic Gateway is a system for creating best-of-class economic development websites. The Economic Gateway was designed to bring local and regional organizations all of the tools they need to best present their communities to site selectors, business owners and stakeholders. Each website includes our entire suite of economic development modules plus includes all future enhancements and additions.

Each website includes the following tools and features:

• Website Planning & Design: We incorporate a proven planning and design process that progresses from site outlines to main designs.
  
  

• Content Management System: The Economic Gateway websites are integrated with a cutting-edge content management system so you can easily update and expand your website.
  
  

• Social Network Ready: Invitations to join Facebook, Twitter, YouTube or other social networking tools will be on the home page of the website. All pages throughout the site have ‘Add This’ functionality so visitors can share the content with their networks.
  
  
• Website Content Population: Golden Shovel will assist in getting the initial portal and local sites up and running. With 15 hours allocated to transferring date from the old sites to the gateway, laying out content and populating directories.
  
  
• Detailed Tracking & Reports: Integrated into the website is the Google Analytics™ website analysis software.
  
  
• Homepage Showcase: Use this module to add emphasis to your region’s unique selling points, location and link to key features of your site.
  
  
• News & Events: Keeps visitors apprised of the latest events, press releases, relevant news and other important happenings.
  
  
• Site Location Tool: Easily search and find properties on this google map based site selection tool. The Economic Gateway can also incorporate most GIS based site selection tools developed by third party organizations.
  
  
• Business Support Directory: Highlight industry clusters and feature community business support organizations (i.e. banks, chambers, foundations, entrepreneurial centers, universities and key civic organizations).
  

• Community Profiles Provide important community data to site selectors and stakeholders.
  
• Incentives Directory: The Incentives Directory contains information on economic development incentives available in your region.
  
  

• Resource Library: The Resource Library allows for a variety of documents and media files to be organized and viewed online.

• Translation Tool: Integrate Google’s free translation tool into the design so viewers can read the website in Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, German and Italian.
   
• Google Keyword Search: So site visitors can easily find the content they are looking for.
